Hawaii Travel Projections Down From Previous Years...

It has been reported that advanced bookings for travel to Hawaii are down from the past several years, which means better prices for anyone considering a trip there this fall.  Many airlines and resorts are sweetening the pot with low airfares and free night promotions designed to entice would-be vacationers to consider the islands of Hawaii.  From mid September through early December, save for the Thanksgiving time period, there are some pretty significant savings to be had.  One call or e-mail to Aloha Travel can get you on your way toward a visit to Paradise at a terrific price!  We're thrilled to be able to help!

Oahu:

OAHU is the most well known island, primarily because of Honolulu and Waikiki Beach. Because of the large number of hotel choices, it’s also most often the most affordable. But there is much more to Oahu than just Waikiki….For instance, head east to Haunama Bay, a prime location for world class surfing and snorkeling. Up the coast you will find the Polynesian Cultural Center, a treasure trove of Hawaiian history, customs and culture. Also awaiting you are rugged mountains with scenic lighthouses, beaches that stretch literally for miles, and quiet, scenic towns. Horseback riding is among the popular activities in this area. The North Shore is perhaps the most famous surfing spot on Earth. Waves of 20 feet are not uncommon in season, and if surfing isn’t your fancy, try a stroll along any of the numerous beaches that dot the shoreline. Many travelers don’t make it out of Honolulu to see the rest of Oahu. It’s a great way to spend a day while learning more about what makes this island so special.

Maui

MAUI is quite possibly the number one destination in the world, certainly among tropical locations, and the reasons are many….It is the best combination of do-it-all and do-nothing, from all day snorkel excursions and mountain bike rides to intimate beaches and leisurely country drives. Maui is not as busy and frenetic as Honolulu, yet it has such a wonderfully wide array of activities that you won’t lack things to do. Throw in world class restaurants and every kind of accommodation from budget friendly to five star, and you have the magic that is Maui.

Kauai

KAUAI is known as the Garden Island, and it is perfectly named. Lush vegetation, breathtaking canyons and dramatic mountain ranges are the calling card of this island, perfectly suited for those that wish a more laid back Hawaii. This island features a wet and dry side, with the wet side being north at Princeville and the dry side south at Poipu.

For those wanting to get away to a quieter environment, it doesn’t get any better than Kauai.

The Big Island

The ISLAND OF HAWAII (popularly known as the “Big Island”) is perhaps the most fascinating island in terms of natural diversity. That stands to reason with a 14,000 foot peak in the center of the island (Mauna Kea) and an active volcano on the southeast coast (Kilauea). Most vacationers stay in either the Kona or Waikoloa areas, both on the drier west side of the island. Kona features terrific big game fishing as well as being the home of the Ironman triathlon each October. The Waikoloa area features some of the very best resorts that Hawaii has to offer. Great golfing, horseback riding and black sand beaches await you on this wondrous island.
